The Glenfiddich Explorer Tour by Train

You will leave Dufftown station on the 11.10 train, for a return trip to Keith. After a 20 minute stop, you then depart on the 12.10 train arriving back at Dufftown station. There, you will be served a light lunch with tea or coffee in our exclusive ‘Spirit of Dufftown’ dining car. Afterwards a guide will take you to the Glenfiddich Distillery for the tour, which lets you find out more about the traditions and crafts of whisky making at Glenfiddich and begins with a short film outlining the history of William Grant and his distillery, after which you will be taken on the distillery tour.

Following a tour of the production areas, you can then nose a variety of casks as you walk through a traditional dunnage style warehouse. The tour continues to the Solera warehouse where your guide will introduce you to the Solera vat and the ‘marrying’ process during which the spirit goes through a marrying period in large wooden vats. Your tour concludes in the Robbie Dhu Centre where you have the opportunity to nose and taste a range of Glenfiddich Whiskies. You may then wish to explore the delights of the distillery shop before enjoying the rest of your day as you please.

Over 18’s only please.
