Do you have a couple of hours to spare? Then treat yourself to a leisurely trip through some of the most beautiful scenery in the U.K. The Keith and Dufftown Railway, ‘The Whisky Line’ is an eleven mile line linking the World's Malt Whisky Capital, Dufftown, to the market town of Keith. The line, which was reopened by volunteers during 2000 and 2001, passes through some of Scotland's most picturesque scenery, with forest and farmland, lochs and glens, castles and distilleries.
During the Festival, trains run between Keith and Dufftown via Drummuir from Friday to Sunday inclusive, travelling through beautiful countryside. Fares are £11.00 adult return and £7.00 single. Times given are for a single journey. During the festival a dram & shortbread, or whisky cake, is included in the price. The ‘Sidings Café' restaurant at Dufftown station serves a delightful choice of home cooked light refreshments, lunches and afternoon teas.
Please note that you can use your return ticket on any train journey on the day of departure.
